The seven-stage
QC photo checklist.
A clear review order keeps you focused on visible evidence and makes it easier to explain any concern precisely.
Use public examples to learn what to inspect, then make the shipment decision from the warehouse evidence tied to your own order. Treat missing or unclear areas as unknown.
Read the evidence guideOpen three things before you inspect a single pixel.
Your order record
Keep the product URL, item ID, selected colour, size, version, quantity and requested extras together. A screenshot helps when a live listing later changes, but the written option name is still important.
The source listing
Check the current option list, seller chart, product details and explicitly included parts. Seller images are references; edited lighting, styling and perspective may differ from warehouse photographs.
Your decision questions
Write down what would make you approve, request evidence or resolve a mismatch. This prevents an endless search for tiny cosmetic differences that would not change the decision.
Order match
Confirm the item, colour, version, size and quantity against your order. Check that accessories or removable parts shown in the listing are present.
Overall condition
Scan every angle for obvious stains, scratches, tears, crushed areas or distortion. Make sure the product has not been photographed in a way that hides a major section.
Shape & symmetry
Compare left and right sides, panel alignment and the overall silhouette. Small perspective differences are normal; large, consistent imbalances deserve a closer photo.
Construction
Zoom into seams, stitching, glued edges, print borders, embroidery, zips, buttons and other joins. Look for loose threads or visibly unfinished areas.
Labels & details
Confirm the visible model, size and care labels. Compare logos, text and decorative details with the source listing while allowing for lighting and camera sharpness.
Measurements
Read the ruler rather than estimating from the photo. Compare the warehouse measurement with the seller chart and a similar item that already fits you.
Shipping readiness
Check fragile areas, protective packaging and included parts. If something remains unclear, request a targeted extra photo before approving shipment.
Request a focused image when a specific, decision-relevant area is missing or genuinely ambiguous. Name the area and angle you need; “more photos” is less useful than “a close-up of the left heel seam.”
Turn an uncertain impression into a precise request.
“The size looks wrong.”
Ask for a named measurement with visible endpoints: “Please measure the flat chest width from one underarm seam to the other.”
“The shoe looks crooked.”
Ask for both shoes together in a straight heel or overhead view so camera distance and angle are comparable.
“Please send more photos.”
Name the missing evidence: a close-up of the left heel join, the interior label, the connector marking or every included component.
End the checklist with a written decision.
A short conclusion keeps the process consistent and makes support messages easier to understand.
Approve visible details
The ordered option, condition, measurements and included parts are consistent enough for you to accept the remaining uncertainty.
Request one missing fact
A decision-relevant area is absent or unclear, and a specific image, measurement or offered test could resolve it.
Resolve a mismatch
The evidence shows a wrong option, missing part, significant damage or measurement difference that should be handled before shipment.
